Ok, this is a looooong overdue thread. Hit me with your L5R CCG style cards for the PBEM game, baby!

I'll start.

Battle: If Tonsu is bowed during a battle, discard a card from your fate hand to remove him from the battle before the resoultion phase.

Play if you have a personality with a Force of 5 or greater at a battle. Bow such a personality to bow any card with the Oni trait that has equal or lesser force.

Scotty, wouldn't that be the Experienced Ken'ichi? We need a regular version, say about the time of the Test of the Emerald Champion.

I figure the main characters, depending on their changes, are probably on Expereinced or Experienced 2 now.

Limited: Bow to issue a irrefusable duel against target personality. Personality and Tanaka are bowed until the duel is resolved. The Duel must be resolved within 3 turns or the challenged personality is dishonored.

Bowing doesn't lower anything. Bowed pesonalities do not contribute their force totals to the total force.

Limited: Bow a bloodspeaker you control and destroy Tsushira to summon any single Oni unit in your deck that has equal to or less than the sum of their two forces.
Battle: Bow Tsushira to destroy opposing forces equal to her Force.

Toyo will not join an army of a Phoenix player.
Toyo adds +1 force to all units in his army
If a personality is about to lose a duel, Bow Toyo to add his Chi to that personality's total.
"The lion samurai was so impressed by the tactics of the masked bushi that he immediately swore fealty. Only to find out later that that bushi was the famed Hida Husaki."

Ukyo Sutai

Limited: Bow and destroy Sutai to destroy any character in an assassination that automatically succeeds.
Bow Sutai to replace a dueling character's force with his own.

Husaki adds 1 force to all units in his army.
Bow Husaki to place Hida Tesomi in play, unbowed, at no cost.
Bow Husaki to cancel an attempt to lobby for the Imperial favor.
Husaki can not be dishonored.


Anyway, these are probably all crap. Make suggestions if you want. I have no clue how to make good cards I guess. (Especially exp. Husaki!)

If Gotien is in your honorable dead pile you may bring him into play at the beginning of your next Turn at no cost.
Gotien faced down the Kyoso no Oni as had every samurai before him. And like every samurai before him, he died a horrible death at the Oni's hands.

Will not join a battle with the Phoenix.
Battle: Once per battle you may play one card from the top of your deck and add its printed focus value to one personality's Force in this battle.
Katsuichi knows what he's doing, make no mistake about that. But how well can he convey it to his troops?

I haven't followed the CCG since our Green St. days. Still, those are some ridiculous cards. Sure the gold costs are high but those cards are still hard to play I bet. They don't even require any personality sacrifices to bring them out. And dear Lord, a 20 gold oni follower!?

Reaction - If the player controlling Hoto uses the Imperial Favor, the opponent it was used on may bow a number of Personalities equal to the unmodified printed Force of Hoto to cancel the use of the Imperial Favor.

Limited: Bow Seppun Ryoske to bring Twilight Moon into play with no gold cost when she appears on a province.
Open: Bow Seppun Ryoske and discard the Imperial Favor to bow any one personality and all attached followers.
He is the last of the Imperial Magistrates. The last of a dead breed that has little left in the current world.

Gains +2F/+2C when in the same army as Seppun Ryoske
Reaction: When Seppun Ryoske is challenged to a duel, Twilight Moon may substitute herself instead.
A beautiful but quiet woman with a mysterious past. It is rumored that she shares relations with Matsuko.

I cannot remember if the individual bloodswords were ever made into cards but here's one for Vengence anyway.

Reaction: When Vengence is first put on a personality pick a Clan. The attached personality gains +2 F/+2C when in battle or duels with an opposing personality of that clan.
Reaction: Each time the attached personality wins a duel, Vengence gains a +1F/+1C token. These tokens are removed if Vengence is placed upon a different personality.
Along with its brothers and sisters, Vengence continues to spread its evil throughout the Empire where ever it goes.

Open: Discard the Akodo War Fan to search through your deck for any one terrain and place it in your hand.
A symbol of strength and courage for the Lion on the battlefield.
