But not me! Hell, if you think this is sadistic, try having the GM turn your character into a shiny volleyball then spend the rest of the session saying "No really this is better, just wait." Then when you eventually bite and say "how is it better?" and he replies all you have to do is make an intellegence check, and then you say "but my intelligence is only 7." He'll reply back "Oh. Well I guess I should have looked at your sheet."

Or the other time when he has you fight so sword chick who in round one gets a critical hit to your right eye, and in round two a critical hit to your left eye.

Or the time when his bastet goes Celina on your ass and tears you limb from limb… wait that wasn't me. Very Happy

I think I understand why Michael is now doomed to always be the GM and cannot afford to be a player in someone else's game!

I was raised to believe that honor was obedience to ones lord no matter the circumstances. His orders were unquestionable, his actions infalable, and his motives the will of the Kami. The greatest honor was to serve without hesitation at every order and die by the hand of your lords enemy defending his actions.

This was a lie.

I should have suspected as much being raised by Bayushi Genji, father of three and the true Master of Lies.

I followed the path set before me to Otosan Uchi at the request of Wampei. I served him as I would my lord Ken'ichi and I was looked down upon by all clans as 'dishonorable' for serving him. I continued my post under Hoto as regent, still being scrutinized by all as dishonorable but now because I was Scorpion and all Scorpion are 'up to something'. Finally, against all judgement I returned home at the request of my lord Ken'ichi to drive out the occupiers of Shosuro and return Scorpion lands to the Scorpion and for this, for following the path of honor, for not questioning my lord and for preparing to sacrifice myself on his word I have been publicily denounced as dishonorable.

This is a game that I will no longer play. I forsake the name Bayushi, it means nothing to me now. I forsake my 'honor' for 'honor' has no meaning. I will now do what is right rather than what is honorable. I will bring justice where there is none and I will set right what is wrong.

Saito, your words mean nothing to me. I decline your request to duel, I decline all requests to duel. If you want my head then try and find me. If you want the sword it is in the ruins of Kuyden Shosuro on the spot where my mentor commited seppuku rather than continue to follow the corrupt Ken'ichi.

Inari, there are those who would use honor as a weapon to deceive us. It is true that it is honorable to serve those above you but there are times when even the greatest fall and betray the Empire. Duty and honor to the Empire are above duty and honor to your clan. Ken'ichi has been compromised by the forces of evil and no longer is your leader. He leads the great Scorpion clan down an evil path. Do not follow in his footsteps. Someone must remain who can restore the Scorpion clan to its proper place. The Scorpion clan had a different honor than other clans but Ken'ichi has forsaken honor, duty, and good. There is no dishonor is opposing him for he no longer serves your clan nor the Empire. You were correct to question him and you should never have felt the need to obey him once he set upon his path of destruction.

We all wish to see the Scorpion lands purged of this evil and returned back to the honorable and righteous Scorpion. Do not let Ken'ichi's downfall be your own. I do not wish to see any more samurai fall to the path of darkness.

"Honorable? Righteousness? These are but adjectives used to deplore your enemies. But purge. Now Purge is a verb I'm well aware of. There is no opinion or interpretation in purge. Either something has been purged or not. There is no in between. This, Emerald Champion, I shall bring upon you. For if the Ancestral sword of the Hatei remains unclaimed I shall take it and walk amoungst you as 'Capt. of the Imperial Guard.' All the more to draw a Paragon into my web!"
